Applications for volunteer representatives on the Douglas County Senior Services Advisory Council are now being accepted by the Douglas County Commissioners.

There are nine volunteer positions currently available on the council. The positions are broken down by geography, with five spots representing Central Douglas County, two for South County, and one each for North and West Douglas County.

The Council guides and supports the development and implementation of the Douglas County Senior Services area plan. Volunteers visit Douglas County dining sites to gather information on issues affecting older adults in those areas. Council members also work together with community partners to help older adults enjoy independence, dignity, choice and quality of life.
