Roseburg Police arrested a 50-year-old man after he allegedly started a fight in a park on Southeast Jackson Street Tuesday night.

According to the RPD arrest record, the man was heavily intoxicated and started a fight with another man around 7 p.m. The suspect allegedly shoved the victim before getting thrown to the ground and held until officers arrived.

RPD said witnesses corroborated the events and the victim did not want to pursue charges for harassment. The 50-year-old was lodged at Douglas County Corrections on charges of second degree disorderly conduct. He’s since been released.
