A Tiller teenager was found and reunited safely with her family Sunday, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Kayleigh Ann Prukop was initially reported missing on Friday night. DCSO said the 18-year-old had left her residence around 2 p.m. and was thought to be headed towards a friend’s house.

Prukop is developmentally delayed and cognitively operates at a pre-teen level.

The search for the girl continued Saturday and DCSO announced Sunday morning that she had been located and confirmed safe.
