The Roseburg Public Library announced its fall youth program that will begin in October.
Youth Services Librarian Aurora Ropp will host “Storytime with Aurora,” a mainstay at the library. The program is held weekly at 10:15 a.m. every Wednesday and Thursday, beginning Wednesday. Storytime is geared towards kids aged 2 to 5 and their parents and caregivers and features stories, songs, movement rhymes and simple crafts.
Lap-sit Storytime is available for children aged six months to 2-years-old and is offered at 10:15 a.m. on the third Tuesday in October, November and December.
Teens in grades sixth through 12th can attend the youths and young adult programming from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month from October through December. The Teen Room at the library will have crafting supplies and gaming equipment.
The library will also offer chess clubs for all skill levels, book clubs for elementary-aged readers, a program for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) and seasonal craft opportunities.
Grab-and-go craft kits are also available on a first-come, first-serve basis at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays.
Volunteer opportunities are also available for teens aged 13 to 18.
