A 90-year-old Riddle woman was found dead near her residence after being reported missing Saturday afternoon.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office announced that Shirley Hart had left her residence overnight Friday and had been reported missing. Hart suffered from dementia and was considered to be at risk.

Deputies, Search and Rescue personnel and community members aided in the search for Hart. Her body was discovered around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, according to DCSO.

The Douglas County Medical Examiner’s Office was investigating the death and the Sheriff’s Office said there is no evidence of foul play.
