The Roseburg City Council has withdrawn its support for an urban campground at a vacant lot on Southeast Stephens.
Council members voted 6-2 to cancel the purchase of the old Reddaway trucking depot at their meeting Monday, according to The News-Review.
Councilors Ellen Porter and Tom Michalek voted against cancelling the purchase.
In other business, the Council voted 6-2 to reject any ban of legal fireworks within Roseburg city limits and the council unanimously voted in favor of releasing the fully finalized investigation into the circumstances of Kylee Rummel’s resignation last January.
