Roseburg Police cited a man for unlawful possession of methamphetamine on Monday morning, then jailed him for public indecency in the afternoon.
An RPD report said at 10:40 a.m. the 42-year-old was contacted near the intersection of Northwest Dogwood Street and Northwest Black Avenue, after a caller said the suspect was trespassing on a nearby resident’s property. While officers were speaking to the man, he allegedly held up his hand and showed officers that he was holding a clear plastic baggie of meth. He was transported to corrections without incident. He was then cited and released.
Just after 1:15 p.m. officers arrested the man due to public indecency actions reportedly witnessed by multiple people in front of city hall, in the 900 block of Southeast Douglas Avenue. The actions were witnessed by RPD officers as well. Bail was set at $6,250.
