ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING REPORTED DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Roseburg Police jailed a man following a reported disorderly conduct incident on Sunday night.

An RPD report said at 8:45 p.m. officers responded to the area of Southeast Jackson Street and Southeast Washington Avenue after 39-year-old Fredis Recinos-Avelar allegedly got into a woman’s vehicle when it was stopped and refused to get out. Recinos-Avelar exited the vehicle before officers arrived and then reportedly ran at officers, posturing like he was going to fight and then running away.

The man was allegedly heavily intoxicated and extremely erratic. Officers also discovered that Recinos-Avelar has left a large amount of trash on the sidewalk. When told that he was under arrest, the suspect, allegedly ran from an officer. A taser was deployed and Recinos-Avelar was taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree escape and offensive littering. Recinos-Avelar was detained on $10,000 bail.
