Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged harassment incident on Thursday evening.
An RPD report said at 7:20 p.m. 37-year-old Christopher Carpenter allegedly threatened an employee who was standing outside a business in the 200 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. Carpenter reportedly became upset when the employee did not provide him with water. The suspect then allegedly threatened the employee with a four-way tire iron before leaving the area.
Carpenter was found a short time later and was taken into custody. Once at corrections, he was reportedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was charged with menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and a parole violation. Carpenter was detained without bail.
