Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged assault incident Thursday morning.

An RPD report said just after 6:00 a.m. officers responded to Orchard Knolls on the Roseburg VA campus in the 1400 block of Northwest Veterans Way. They found that 44-year-old Corey Muffoletto had allegedly punched a victim several times, eventually taking him to the ground and slamming his head onto the concrete.

Muffoletto was charged with fourth-degree assault, second-degree disorderly conduct, menacing and a parole violation. Bail was set at $1,500.
