ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN, CITE WOMAN, FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP

Roseburg Police jailed one man and cited a woman following a traffic stop on Wednesday night.

An RPD report said at 8:25 p.m. officers saw a vehicle in the 900 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard and noted that a 31-year-old man was driving. The vehicle pulled into a parking lot before officers learned its tags were expired. Officers located the sedan again and initiated a stop.

Now a 35-year-old woman was driving. She returned with a suspended license and the man returned with a revoked license. The man was taken into custody and charged with driving while revoked. Bail was set at $2,500. He was cited for driving uninsured and failure of a previous violator to file. The woman was cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure of a previous violator to file. A valid driver was contacted to get the vehicle.
