Roseburg Police jailed a man for a restraining order violation on Tuesday.
An RPD report said at 7:10 p.m. the 40-year-old and a woman were contacted at a camp under the old wooden walk bridge near the intersection of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and Northeast Stephens Street. Their camp violated the time, place and manner portions of the city camping ordinance. Both had two or more prohibited camping convictions and were arrested.
A records check found there was a restraining order between the two people, with the man as the respondent. He was additionally arrested for the violation and taken into custody. Bail was $10,000. The woman was cited and released from corrections due to a medical condition.
