Roseburg Police jailed a fugitive on Tuesday morning.

An RPD report said at 9:30 a.m. officers contacted the 48-year-old, who was allegedly tampering with a parked motorcycle next to his van in the 1500 block of Northeast Stephens Street. Officers learned he had an active warrant through the Lane County Circuit Court. Dispatch confirmed the warrant, and the man was taken into custody without incident. His van was legally parked and remained on the scene.

Bail was set at $20,000. The man was released later in the day.
