Sutherlin Police jailed a man for a warrant and third-degree escape on Saturday.

An SPD report said at 5:25 p.m. the 26-year-old had an outstanding warrant and was seen at a business in the 1000 block of West Central Avenue. The man allegedly failed to comply with officers and ran out the back door of the store. He was taken into custody after being found in the fields of Taylor Street and Miller Street. The man was transported to corrections.

Bail was set at $13,000.
