Sutherlin Police jailed a man for alleged disorderly conduct early Monday.
An SPD report said at 2:45 a.m. officer responded to a residence in the 500 block of South State Street after a caller said a man was screaming. Dispatch informed officers that the man had threatened a woman with a knife and threatened to burn houses down. Upon arrival, officer contacted the suspect and the victim.
The victim said the 45-year-old had threatened to burn houses down and was screaming at her, but she did not remember him mentioning a knife. The suspect was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and taken to corrections. Bail was set at $2,500.
