Roseburg Police jailed a man on the charge of third-degree robbery on Friday night.

An RPD report said at 9:00 p.m. officers contacted the 33-year-old after he ran out of a business in the 1300 block of Northeast Stephens Street, without paying for his meal. An employee tried to stop him from leaving the business, but the suspect allegedly pushed her out of the way and ran across the road.

Employees chased him across the road and tackled him to the ground where they held him until officers arrived. The man admitted to the crime and was taken to corrections. He was detained without bail.
