A transient was jailed for alleged disorderly conduct in the parking lot of a retail complex on Friday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at approximately 2:30 p.m. several parties called dispatch to complain about the behavior of a man in the 4600 block of Carnes Road in the Green District. The 33-year-old was allegedly dropping his pants and yelling. An employee at a coffee stand called to complain that the suspect had gotten completely nude and was still yelling.

When a deputy arrived, the man was reportedly acting erratic in the parking lot. He was detained due to his behavior which was affecting nearby businesses. An employee of the coffee stand who witnessed the incident was willing to provide video evidence.

The man was arrested and taken to jail. While attempting to get him inside the jail, the suspect reportedly began to push backwards to prevent the deputy from walking him into the jail. After a moment, the deputy was able to reestablish control and get the man inside. He was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. The man was detained without bail.
