Roseburg Police cited two Coos Bay men Thursday for an alleged identity theft incident.

An RPD report said an investigation began on August 19th when 18-year-old Taylor Reiber reportedly went into the locker room of Planet Fitness in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway and stole a victim’s purse and gained access to her debit cards. Reiber and 19-year-old Issac Callaway allegedly proceeded to add the debit card information onto their respective Cash App accounts and began attempting to transfer money. A total of $150 was transferred.

Both men initially lied about their involvement until they were told that they were on camera at Planet Fitness. Reiber and Callaway then admitted to their crimes. They agreed to drive from Coos Bay to meet an officer in Roseburg at about 2:00 p.m. Each man was charged with identity theft, computer crime, fraudulent use of a credit card, and third-degree theft. They were released after the citations were issued.
