Sutherlin Police jailed a man for failure to register as a sex offender early Friday.

An SPD report said at 3:00 a.m. the 49-year-old was contacted near the intersection of West Central Avenue and Taylor Street. He had not registered since 2019. The man taken into custody and detained without bail.
