Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office investigated a single vehicle motorcycle crash on Thursday evening.

A DCSO report said at 5:30 p.m. the crash was called in, in the 100 block of Yokum Road in the Riddle area. The motorcycle appeared to have been traveling westbound when it exited the roadway and crashed into the ditch. The rider had left the scene before the deputy arrived.

The 52-year-old motorcyclist was contacted later and said that he had left the road due to a steering malfunction. He said he had minor injuries. A towing company had removed the motorcycle.
