Roseburg Police jailed a man for a restraining order violation on Friday.

An RPD report said at approximately 6:40 p.m. officers observed a 31-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man in the same vehicle in the 2400 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. Officers learned there was a valid restraining order. The two split up before officers could contact them.

The woman was contacted in a traffic stop and admitted that the man was in the vehicle.  He was located a short time later where the woman said that she had dropped him off at. The man was charged with a restraining order violation. Bail was set at $5,000. He was released on Sunday.
