August 27, 2025 4:10 a.m.

Roseburg just missed a record high temperature for the date on Tuesday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 98 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The record high for August 26th is 99 degrees, set in 2016.

After several days of high temperatures hovering around the century mark, The Umpqua Valley should see a reprieve starting Wednesday, with highs of 90 or slightly above for the next few days. Forecasters said a broad upper ridge of high pressure is keeping temperatures above normal until the weekend, when highs are forecast to drop to the mid-80s.
