MYRTLE POINT MAN JAILED FOR STOLEN VEHICLE INCIDENT

A Myrtle Point man was jailed for a stolen vehicle incident on Tuesday.

An Oregon State Police report said at 1:30 p.m. a trooper responded to assist a disabled motorist on Interstate Five southbound at the Winchester exit. A check of the driver revealed two current warrants and suspended driving privileges.  A search of the pickup’s vehicle identification number indicated that it was a stolen vehicle.

The driver, 39-year-old Jered Koser, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, driving while suspended and for the warrants. Bail was set at $12,500.
