The Roseburg City Council will consider improvements at the airport, parking enforcement and other topics at its meeting Monday night.
The council will vote on authorizing acceptance of a grant offer from the Federal Aviation Administration in the maximum amount of $500,000 to be used towards the airport fencing and security upgrades project. Later in the agenda, councilors will vote on awarding that project to Priority One Fence for just under $280,000.
The council will take another look at the downtown parking situation and will review what it would be like without parking enforcement both downtown and in the Laurelwood neighborhood. Staff are seeking directions from the council on the next steps on the issue.
Other items are on the agenda as well. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the city council chambers on Southeast Douglas Avenue. It can be viewed on the city’s Facebook page or seen later through a link at www.cityofroseburg.org
