HOT WEATHER CONTINUES, SEASONAL NORMS START WEDNESDAY

While the Heat Advisory expired Sunday night, two more days of hot weather is expected in the Umpqua Valley before conditions return to seasonal norms starting Wednesday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 100 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport on Sunday. That beat the previous record high for the date, which was 99 degrees, set in 2010.

Roseburg also set a record high for the date on Saturday and tied the record high for the date on Friday, giving the Umpqua Valley three days of triple digit high temperatures with the mercury getting to 101, 102 and 100 degrees respectively for Friday through Sunday.

Roseburg should have high temperatures in the mid 90’s Monday and Tuesday. Highs will drop to the mid-80s beginning Wednesday and remain there for several days.
