Roseburg Police cited a man for drinking in public on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 7:50 p.m. the 65-year-old was contacted in the 200 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard after an officer noticed he had been drinking a can of beer. An officer asked the man to dump the beer out and he threw it into the road.  When asked to clean up the that had been tossed, the man complied. He was released after the citation was issued.
