The Douglas Forest Protection Association has moved the Fire Danger Level and the Public Use Restriction Level to Extreme as of Saturday.
DFPA Public Information Officer Rachel Pope said this is for all private, county, state and Bureau of Indian Affairs land within the Douglas District.
Pope said for the public this means that non-industrial power saw usage, cutting, grinding, or welding of metal, cutting, trimming or mowing of dried, cured grass, and power-driven machinery for non-industrial improvement or development on private property will be prohibited.
