Covering coastal Douglas County:

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man for warrants on Tuesday.

A DCSO report said just before 12:30 p.m. a deputy saw a vehicle and observed traffic violations while it was on Highway 101 approximately eight miles north of Reedsport. The deputy recognized the driver as a 55-year-old man from North Bend and knew he was wanted. The driver’s warrants were confirmed, and he was taken into custody. He was detained without bail.
