Sutherlin Police detained two transients, following a disturbance on Saturday night.

An SPD report said at 6:30 p.m. the incident was reported at the rodeo grounds in the 300 block of East Central Avenue. A teenager was reportedly swinging a sword around and making people nervous. The transients, ages 21 and 23, were both reportedly involved with the disturbance.

The 23-year-old was detained for a parole violation as he had multiple cans of alcohol in his possession. The 21-year-old was also detained for a parole violation for not checking in. Both were detained without bail.
