ROSEBURG POLICE CHARGE MAN WITH SECOND-DEGREE CRIMINAL TRESPASS

Roseburg Police charged a man with second-degree criminal trespass early Saturday.

An RPD report said at approximately 1:20 a.m. officers contacted the 36-year-old in a room at a motel in the 1000 block of Northeast Stephens Street. He was taken into custody without issue. While in the backseat of the patrol vehicle, the man reportedly slammed his head into the cage, creating a wound that required medical care.

The man was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center, given a citation, and then was released.
