Roseburg Police jailed a woman for an alleged trespass incident on Thursday.
An RPD report said 4:15 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the 3500 block of Northeast Douglas Avenue. A house sitter reported than an unknown male had hopped over the fence onto the property and then entered the home through the front door.
The house sitter was awake and drinking coffee when she ran the male off. Officers contacted the 48-year-old later in the day on a different call and identified him as the trespass suspect. He admitted to walking into the house, thinking it belonged to his wife, but his story was inconsistent.
The man was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and a parole violation. Bail was set at $6,250.
