Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported trespass incident on Wednesday.
An RPD report said just after 2:30 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the 2300 block of West Foothill Drive. A resident reported that a 47-year-old Myrtle Creek man was in her backyard and was pounding on her door and window. The suspect was found nearby on West Agee Street. It was learned that he had jumped a 7-foot-tall fence to gain access to the backyard.
Officers also learned that the man had been previously trespassed from the home in March. He was taken into custody without incident. The man was also served with a restraining order from a deputy with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and was detained on $1,250 bail. The man was released later in the day.
