A Myrtle Creek man was charged with first-degree criminal trespass early Thursday morning.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 12:20 a.m. a victim called in saying a man had broken into a trailer in the 4100 block of Canyonville-Riddle Road. Deputies responded to the location and found the 44-year-old inside the trailer. The man was detained without incident.

The suspect claimed he was invited over then started talking about other unrelated things that did not make sense. Both victims denied inviting the man over and told him that he was not welcomed at the residence. There were no signed of forced entry and all parties said the man was just sleeping in the bed.

The man was detained without bail.
