Roseburg City Council will begin Monday evening with a special meeting.

Councilors will gather at 6:00 p.m. to hear a presentation from Anvil Northwest. No details regarding what will be covered were provided on the meeting agenda.

At 7:00 p.m. the regular meeting will be held.

Councilors will consider options for allowing distribution of injectable overdose reversal kits on city property. Notes from staff said that given that injectable overdose reversal kits are currently available at HIV Alliance, Connecting Point, and other locations, and that the city does not prohibit distribution of the nasal form of overdose reversal medications, and the level of heightened public concern surrounding needles in public spaces, staff recommends making no changes at this time.

Discussion will continue regarding recommendations from the downtown parking committee. The group had nearly two dozen ideas for changes to parking rules and fees in the downtown area.
