August 10, 2025 5:00 a.m.

A Heat Advisory is in effect through early Wednesday morning for central Douglas County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said hot temperatures of 100 and 105 degrees with very warm overnight temperatures of 65 to 70 degrees are expected.

The Advisory area includes portions of the Umpqua Basin and applies to the cities of Roseburg, Camas Valley, Elkton, Drain, Sutherlin, Glendale, Riddle and Canyonville.

Forecasters said unusually hot temperatures will increase the risk of heat illnesses. Warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief from daytime temperatures.
