EXTREME HEAT WATCH FOR SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT

August 7, 2025 11:45 a.m.

An Extreme Heat Watch is in effect for Sunday morning through late Monday night for parts of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said dangerously hot temperatures near 100 to 105 degrees are possible. Warm overnight temperatures of 65 to 70 degrees are possible as well.

The Heat Watch area includes portions of the Umpqua Basin in central Douglas County. This includes the communities of Roseburg, Camas Valley, Elkton, Drain, Sutherlin, Glendale, Riddle and Canyonville.

Forecasters said heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat. Warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief from hot daytime temperatures.
