Roseburg Police jailed a woman on the charge of attempted assault of a public safety officer early Wednesday.

An RPD report said just after 2:00 a.m. a 20-year-old was taken into custody after officers determined she was a danger to herself and others following a disturbance in the 1000 block of Northeast Barager Avenue. The woman was taken into custody and transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. While waiting at the hospital, she allegedly attempted to bite officers.
