Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported theft on Tuesday night.

An RPD report said just past 10:00 p.m. officers contacted the 59-year-old in the 1800 block of Northwest Keasey Court. A neighbor reported that the man had stolen their lawnmower. The suspect admitted stealing the mower and said it was because he had not been paid for yard work.

The man was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with second-degree theft. Bail was set at $6,250.
