Roseburg Police cited two people for prohibited camping at Charles Gardiner Park on Northwest Edenbower on Monday afternoon.

According to an RPD report, the two were previously warned that they were not allowed to camp on the west side of Newton Creek in the park, but they had not made any effort to leave the site. Roseburg Police say their camp violated the time, place and manner ordinance.

A 37-year-old man was cited for a prohibited camping violation and released on the scene. A 41-year-old woman reportedly had two prior convictions for prohibited camping and was taken into custody and lodged at Douglas County Corrections. She has since been released.
