Roseburg Police jailed a man for reported harassment on Thursday night.

An RPD report said at 9:00 p.m. officers responded to the 2500 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway after a caller said there was a fight between a man and a juvenile. The juvenile and numerous witnesses said the 37-year-old confronted the victim and fought with her in front of a business. The suspect was described as the aggressor through the entire encounter and allegedly followed the victim even as she tried to get away.

The report said at one point, the suspect reportedly pinned the juvenile on the ground and only stopped when a crowd of people intervened.

The man was charged with harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct. He was detained on $5,000 bail and was released on Friday morning.
