In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
Umpqua Actors Community Theatre continues its summer musical, “Anastasia” through this Sunday.
The production is on stage in the Jacoby Auditorium at Umpqua Community College.
Based on the animated movie from 20th Century Fox, “Anastasia” is both a heartwarming and heart-wrenching dive into one of history’s biggest unanswered questions: what happened to Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov? The musical transports the audience from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s.
“Anastacia” will be performed Thursday through Saturday nights at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $22 for adults and $15 for children ages 12 and under. They can be purchased at the UACT Box Office on weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., by going to www.uact-theatre.com, or at Jacoby Auditorium ahead of each performance.
