MYRTLE CREEK CITY COUNCIL TO HOLD WORK SESSION ON THURSDAY

The Myrtle Creek City Council will hold a work session on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m.

The council will be reviewing materials to proceed with filling the positions of city administrator and mayor.

City Recorder Joanna Bilbrey said that both City Administrator Lonnie Rainville and Mayor Matthew Hald have resigned. Bilbrey told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that Rainville offered his resignation to explore other opportunities. His last day of employment with the city is September 12th.

Bilbrey said that Hald resigned his volunteer role effective July 31st as he is moving out of state to be near family. His last meeting was on July 15th

The work session will be held in the council chambers on Northwest Pleasant Street.
