Roseburg Police charged a man with third-degree theft on Friday.

An RPD report said at just before 7:30 p.m. officers responded to the 300 block of West Harvard Avenue after the 50-year-old allegedly stole a beer without paying for it and then left the business on foot. He was located a short distance away and was taken into custody without incident. The man admitted to the theft and was transported to corrections. Bail was set at $1,250.
