Roseburg Police jailed a man on sex crime charges on Thursday morning.

An RPD report said at 9:00 a.m. 26-year-old Izaiah Alvarez allegedly sexually assaulted a victim while she was holding her infant child in the 100 block of Northeast Rifle Range Street. Alvarez was later arrested on first-degree counts of rape and sex abuse, and two counts of first-degree sexual penetration with a foreign object

Alvarez was detained on $50,000 bail.
