In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Riverbend Live! will have its annual youth theater production on Friday and Saturday nights beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Winston’s Riverbend Park

“Seussical Jr.” is a contemporary re-imagining of Dr. Seuss, which weaves together many of his most famous stories and characters in unexpected ways. A large cast of nearly 20 young people is directed by Umpqua Community College Assistant Theater Professor Bart McHenry with assistance from several others involved in UCC theater productions.

Attendees can bring a chair or blanket, along with dinner. A food vendor will be on site as well. Smoking and pets are not allowed at the venue.

Riverbend Live! continues with Good Co. on August 1st. A bonus concert with Chris O’Leary has been added for August 22nd.

Take Interstate 5 to exit 119 and follow the signs to Riverbend Live!
