Roseburg Police added a charge to a man already in jail on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 2:50 p.m. a man contacted officers and said an unknown suspect had previously stolen his backpack full of tools while he was working at a business in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. Officers later identified the suspect as a 34-year-old, who was already in custody from an unrelated case. He was charged with second-degree theft and remained detained, now on $7,500 bail.
