Roseburg Police jailed a man for a warrant, burglary and theft charges on Saturday.
An RPD report said just after 3:50 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on a sedan in the 700 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard after witnessing traffic violations. The driver, 25-year-old Rad Osburn, was contacted. Officers learned that Osburn had a warrant. It was confirmed and he was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to corrections and cited for numerous traffic violations.
While in custody it was discovered that Osburn was a suspect in a burglary case at St. Joseph Church in the 800 block of West Stanton Street. Osburn reportedly admitted to stealing items from the church, before selling them. In addition, the man violated his restraining order during the incident.
Osburn was charged with second-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree theft, and violation of a restraining order, in addition to the prior warrant. He was detained on $8,750 bail.
