Roseburg Police jailed a man for the charge of third-degree theft on Friday.

An RPD report said at 1:20 p.m. officers contacted the 49-year-old after he allegedly stole three beers, valued at $8.67 from a store in the 1100 block of Northeast Stephens Street. The man admitted to stealing the alcohol and was taken into custody without incident. Bail was set at $1,250.
