Roseburg Police jailed a man for reported thefts on Thursday.

An RPD report said the 44-year-old allegedly stole items from a business in the 1300 block of Northeast Stephens Street, valued at $54. At the time he was contacted, the man was also in possession of a shopping cart valued at $150 and owned by a different store. He was taken into custody without incident.

The man was charged with third-degree theft by receiving and second-degree theft. Bail was set at $7,500.
