ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR DRUG LAW VIOLATION

Roseburg Police jailed a man for a drug law violation on Thursday night.

An RPD report said at 8:20 pm. officers were communicating with the 53-year-old from Dillard, when he allegedly agreed to sell them drugs. The man agreed to meet officers in the parking lot of a business in the 3100 block of Northeast Stephens Street. Officers were reportedly unable to locate any drugs in the man’s possession.

He was taken into custody. The man was on probation and the officer contacted the suspect’s probation officer, who authorized a detainer. The man was charged with attempting to commit a class B felony and parole violation. He was detained without bail.
